We Love Club Owners Hi Everyone! We have each been performing individually for many years and have experienced many of the same things regarding club owners. Collectively we have nearly two years together as the Revolving Doors band. Without a doubt we each have reservations about booking gigs by talking with club owners directly. How does one humbly tell someone that you are a great musician and are in a great band? Well, it doesn't come off with humility but much more like arrogance. In addition, we understand the burden club owners have being constantly approached by various band members looking for work. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes but could if I cared to. Club owners have to deal almost daily with these requests but some club owners are character evaluation challenged. Yes, some can't tell the difference between a pro musician and a wanna be. Most club owners, though, can't do what we do. We are consistent in our delivery of personal emotion via making music and "playing" songs. Try it sometime and you will find that you may be able to go through the motions but few will feel the emotion you're trying to convey because you probably won't be conveying anything. This brings up an important point. Every once in awhile we experience the "dancing" club owner who speaks through his ass by giving us a confirmed booking date and then lying to us later, usually just before the supposed gig. He or she doesn't remember booking us at all and in short has booked some other band instead. We love it. Sometimes we have turned down gigs because we are supposed to be booked on a certain date and then find out we're not booked but fucked! You club owners like the one I've just described know who you are and I won't mention any names. We just want you to know how much we love and admire you. Keep it up! You're behavior is downright good for you and deplorable for us and the world. Thank you.
